Booking notes

  • Rooms tighten during the winter legislature session, college admission weeks and the Kittur and Saundatti fair dates — book earlier for those.
  • Many mid-range hotels quote room-only rates; confirm whether breakfast and taxes are included.
  • Carry a physical ID. Aadhaar, passport or driving licence is asked for at check-in, and foreign nationals should expect a C-form.
  • If you are here for a hospital appointment, ask about early check-in — the big teaching hospitals start OPD registration soon after 8 am.

Getting around from your hotel

Autos are plentiful in the centre and Camp but thin out on the bypass, so a hotel far from the core is easier with your own vehicle or a booked cab. City buses run frequently between the Central Bus Stand, the railway station and Camp.
